FoMO

One day while reading newspaper i came to know about new type of Social disorder - FoMO (Fear of Missing out ) .With long inhale i amazed how many disorder still remaining unknown . As i read through the article am really shocked that the person who checks his status in social networks more than 20 times a days suffers from this disorder . Fomo is a feeling where one suffer that they will be left out where others having fun . And after reading that i rolled back my days of childhood . That days we waited for holidays to gang upon and have our own team for playing sharing and so on . It hard to find us at our home . Neither cartoon nor play station never invaded our play rights . Those team games taught us lot more than what we learnt class . Every time when i go out i search for gang play . But its hard to find such mischievous gang like us . Instead everyone sticked to mobile phone , video games , play station etc.. The only way to get rid of this social disorder is when we shut all doors to gadgets and start playing in streets...

Navarathri golu...

After very long time post man was at our doorsteps and calling out us . Ya it is an invitation for navarathri golu from my relative . As soon as read invitation i planned to go . Navarathri  means nine sacred nights which is one most celebrated festive in India . The most interesting thing about it is golu. Golu is arrangements of various gods and scenes dramas exposing their culture . On the seventh day of pooja i got ready for our relation house which is 8 km from my house . When we reached their house around seven ' o clock the pooja was already over . In the entrance of their house , the first room is decorated with lights to mark the festive season and there are seven steel steps which is mounted on wall for support . And the seven steps were covered by silk cloth . The sand idols of various gods beams in the serial lamps . As soon as we entered their house we are offered prasadam and tea . Having snacks i stared at  Laksmi , sarswathy , durga , ganapathy , Murgan , perumal  idiols which holds  prominent posture . It is not only the arrangement for various dolls but it also the place for innovative work . With the help of mud they had made thiruvannamalai temple and also the scenes from famous epic ramayanam . I was very keen in observing the dolls and their arrangements . After my observation we had little discussion about the arrangement . From that i came to know that they are celebrating this golu for 30 years . This golu doesn't simply mean for arranging idols and this is time for all the relations to gather together and we had a wonderful time over there . And the most amazing thing is neighbor came along with their children . An old lady came with her twin grand daughter . They were dressed like and sang a devotional song in their melodious voice which breaks the silence over there . As their voice fades away we started to our house with small gifts packs.

Oct 11 - The day for girl child

From 2011 , October 11 is observed as international day for girl child by United Nation . What's the purpose behind this ? Though we talk about equality and empowerment the real scenario is different . The fruits of law doesn't reach every nook and corner of the world. The number of violence cases registering is still increasing .And most of them go unnoticed. To treat girl with dignity and provide equality is bounded duty.  In order to create awareness among the people about equality , education , empowerment various programs were showcased to lay emphasis on their importance.
Today too we can see large number of girl child in various working areas . Their childhood is exploited . Childhood is the period for learning. That is denied for most of girl in our country .
And its time to salute "Malala Yousufzai" who is known for education and human rights activism.  On this day we take oath to prevent violence and try to protect them from such discrimination and make them feel on par .

Empowerment of women in India

Who is a woman? The most wonderful creature in earth who serves a remarkably varying role in all aspects of life such as home maker, wife, mother, daughter, employer etc. She fills her family and society with love and care. She is backbone of every family. Though she plays crucial role in all her surroundings there is hesitation in giving authority to her. What makes her down a step? What is empowerment? The greater access to knowledge and resources, greater autonomy in decision making, greater ability to plan their lives, greater control over the circumstances that influence their lives and finally factors which would free them from the shackles of custom beliefs and practices. Unless they themselves become conscious of the oppression meted out to them and show initiative to push forward it would not be possible to change their status much. Empowerment of women in India is to be viewed from pre historic period. It is evident from history that when prehistoric men go for hunting it is the woman who precedes the crew. Women were given high status in that period. After that status of women prevailed in the same way? The answer is surely not. During the sands of time the status level of women and their authority gradually decreases. All the creatures are equal in front of nature. Then why there is deviation in giving rights to women? What are the reasons for it? First and foremost the reason behind this fact is the social structure we follow that evolved during so many years back. It always a practice that men were treated a point higher than women. Let’s start from family, it is obvious that most of the decision taken by the male member and women just a person who agree with them. The rights of women were suppressed. This evil must be taken into account. Government should proper action against this violence. To root out this evil it must be seen from family level. We are in a position to educate our children about equality of women, which will surely reflect in future generation. We hope for India where debating of such empowerment of women becomes unnecessary.
